Legal
Privacy policy
Written to be read rather than to satisfy a template. If a line is unclear, ask and we will put it plainly.
This policy sets out what Peckham Removals does with personal information collected through this website and in the ordinary course of quoting for and carrying out removals, packing and storage in SE15.
Who is responsible
Peckham Removals is the data controller. Questions, requests and complaints go to hello@peckhamremovals.uk, where a person reads them.
What we collect
The quote form
Name, phone number, email address, pickup address, drop-off address, an optional moving date and optional notes — used to answer your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work.
Messages and surveys
Whatever you choose to tell us plus the contact details you use, and where a survey happens, notes on volume, stairs, parking and access. Photographs you send of a staircase or a street are kept with the enquiry.
Storage
An inventory of the goods held, the storage agreement, and the contact details needed to reach you. We must identify you before releasing anything, so these are kept while goods are with us and for a period afterwards.
Site visits
Server logs and, where analytics is enabled, aggregate page measurement. No advertising trackers and no cross-site profiling.
Why we may hold it
- To answer an enquiry you made.
- To perform the contract once a booking exists.
- Legitimate interests: job records, protecting our crew and van, and understanding which pages help.
- Legal obligation, for accounting and tax records.
Spam protection
The quote form uses Google reCAPTCHA to filter automated submissions; it receives technical signals from your browser under Google's own terms.
Who else sees it
- Hosting and email providers acting on our instructions.
- Insurers, where a claim arises.
- Customs authorities and clearing agents on a European move, where the inventory and residence documents are the basis of clearance.
- Our accountant, and anybody we are legally required to inform.
Enquiry data is never sold and never passed to other removals firms or lead brokers. Where we recommend a firm in a neighbouring area, we give you their details rather than giving them yours.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for a reasonable period, then deleted. Records of completed jobs are kept for accounting, insurance and claims purposes; storage records while goods are held and for a period after redelivery.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, objection and portability — email hello@peckhamremovals.uk and it will be handled within the statutory period. Some things cannot be deleted on request, such as an inventory of goods in store or records inside a legal retention period; we will say which category applies. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
No marketing or advertising cookies are set. Analytics, where enabled, sets measurement cookies only, and blocking them breaks nothing here.
Changes
Material changes appear on this page. The terms applying to a specific job are those issued with your quote. See also our terms.
